Silver Quality Improvement Training Day

Wednesday 23rd May 2018 - Leeds

This one-day training will offer individuals and teams an opportunity to work through the stages of planning an improvement project.The content is intentionally highly practically with the aim of preparing you to engage in an improvement project when you return to your organisation. This course is supported by a number of actual and planned courses which either provide more detail about aspects of the basic silver for Quality Improvement, e.g. ‘understanding variation’, or complement it e.g. ‘achieving behaviour change’.

Aimed at leaders, managers, clinicians, analysts and patients, this workshop will help you understand what you can and cannot learn from hospital mortality statistics. You will learn how they are derived and (ab)used. You will also learn how to best to report mortality statistics and understand how to investigate a high/low hospital mortality statistic.
