Our Previous Work

At the Improvement Academy we have worked on many projects across the Yorkshire and Humber. Take a look at some of our previous work below.

Wheelchair Services

Over 2014-2015 the Improvement Academy worked collaboratively with the regional NHS wheelchair services to support improvement work which was then aligned to support the emerging national NHS England transformation programme.

Public Access Defibrillators

The Improvement Academy worked with partner organisations to determine the location and details of public access defibrillators throughout Yorkshire & Humber region and identify where further defibrillators need to be deployed. Overall we aimed to increase the use of public access defibrillators and increase survival rates.

Support for Dementia Carers

Improving the provision of information to carers of people with dementia was identified as a priority in Yorkshire and Humber. We are worked with local stakeholders to develop innovative solutions.

Patient Voice

The AHSN Improvement Academy is using an innovative method of capturing the 'voice of patients' in improving the safety of their healthcare. Read about the PRASE (Patient Reporting and Action for a Safe Environment) tool here.
